A continuation of the battle over health care that consumed Congress last year is still happening. The health care provides a classic examples of how the impact of a law depends on regulations to interpret it. The rules deal with the law, pushed through Congress by President Obama and Democratic leaders with no Republican support. This can affect our country because with the battle over healthcare people who need healthcare insurance may not be able to get the chance to have one. We need to come to a close on this issue.

With the American public still very much divided over the new health care law, President Obama on Saturday impacted, saying the overhaul had already helped millions of individuals and small businesses.  This year, 4 million small businesses benefited from health care tax cuts and seniors will receive a $250 check to help them cover the costs of prescriptions. This can affect our country because it can benefit many of the people wo have small businesses.

The fight over the new health care law shifted Thursday to the states, as some governors claimed federal money to run a new insurance pool for people with serious medical problems, while officials in other states said they would not operate the program.  But Republican officials in Georgia, Indiana, Nebraska and Nevada turned down the opportunity to run the high-risk pool, as did at least one Democratic governor, Dave Freudenthal of Wyoming.
